Aujourd’hui je vous parle de mon pays

“Aujourd’hui je vous parle de mon pays” is a storytelling series resulting from several discussions with beneficiaries of the Fondation Orient-Occident: migrants, refugees and asylum seekers, men and women of all ages. The goal of these migration stories is simple: we want to discover new cultures, not thanks to Wikipedia or a travel blog, but with the eyes of the locals, through a passionate and captivating look. Nine people from Chad, Cameroon, Palestine, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Guinea, Sudan and the Central African Republic agreed to exchange and share moments of life in their native countries. Today, they offer us a part of their stories, cultures, cuisines, games, traditions, and dreams. For a moment, we can immerse ourselves in the heart of the African bush, celebrate a wedding in Palestine, eat fish in the Democratic Republic of Congo, go to school in Guinea and more. We wish you a good trip!
The project was written by the FOO communication team under the direction of an anthropologist.
