A donation contract for the purchase of 7 Electronic Pianos for the Fondation Orient-Occident was signed on Thursday the 22nd in Rabat, between the Japanese Ambassador to Morocco, Takuji Hanatani, and the Strategies’ Director of the Fondation Orient-Occident, Rachid Badouli.
Signed in the presence of the Representative of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees in Morocco (UNHCR), Jean-Paul Cavalieri, this contract aims to strengthen the social and cultural relations between Japan and the Kingdom of Morocco and aims to facilitate the integration of refugees into Moroccan society by providing assistance in the psychosocial and educational fields, through the strengthening of skills.
The donation of Electronic Pianos aims to further enrich the cultural activities within the Foundation, It also intends to strengthen the dialogue of cultures as well as métissage and cultural diversity, through the implementation of cultural, recreational and artistic activities in an inclusive participatory approach of all the beneficiaries of different nationalities
It is the first time that the Government of Japancollaborates with the Fondation Orient-Occident; on this occasion, the Japanese Ambassador praised the laudable initiatives of the Foundation, expressing his pride that Japan is contributing to this social aspect and that this gift, which aims to strengthen the cultural capacities of migrants, refugees and young people in Morocco, could be a new cultural milestone for cooperation between Morocco and Japan.
