HUMANITES project: Franco/Moroccan designers and migrants innovate together!
Designers Philippe Daney and Hicham Lahlou alongside sub-Saharan refugees accompanied by the Fondation Orient-Occident.
All together, they create a collection inspired by their respective paths and it starts now and here.
Humanités is a project led by Franco/Moroccan designer architects Philippe Daney and Hicham Lahlou, alongside the Foundation Orient-Occident, which supports 15,000 African migrant refugees every year in Morocco. Their goal is to create different collections with the beneficiaries of the Foundation.
Working with copper, nickel silver, ceramics (zellige), leather, gold or silver for jewelry, tapestry… The outcome of these creations will take on a new form, driven by the inspiration of these two creators and the spontaneity and imaginary of the women and men who will participate, bringing on their unique experience and vision to it.

In this collaborative project, everyone will learn and challenge him/herself to overcome and overturn their usual codes, ways of being and seeing.
The adventure begins here and now, in Rabat on June 2022.
